Lately, I've been trying to imitate styles. I've managed to imitate Takanaga-sensei's style, but I pretty much failed miserably when I tried to copy Minami Haruka-sensei's style....
In any case, since I can't exactly draw yaoi anymore (because I don't live alone, sadly), I've begun to WRITE it. I've been reading The Book Of Secrets by Tom Harper... and I must say, IT'S AWESOME.
Why?
Well, for one, the main character is gay. (YEAHH THAT'S SUPER AWESOME) And he's in love with a man.
I was so happy when I found that out...
SO happy....
Then I started laughing and laughing and rolling about on the bed and hugging my bolster at the same time and smiling like some sort of pedo... (lol)
....I think I cracked.
I've completely fallen for Tom Harper's novels. They're wonderful. I highly recommend it. Of course, you needn't be bothered by the stupid rants earlier on in the post, because... honestly speaking, the main character in the Book of Secrets is the ONLY character, in all his books I've read so far, that's gay.
However, if you like novels with homosexual action, you'd like to check out Annie on My Mind, Notre Dame des Fleurs, House of Stairs, and perhaps A World of Normal Boys. Either that or search it on Google.
If you don't like the Shakespearean type-of-novel, then I guess you'd be better off not reading Notre Dame des Fleurs, which actually means Our Lady of the Flowers. It's a lovely book, but it may be a tad bit difficult to understand.
Although to me, it doesn't matter. I think I love it.
...Oh heck. What's a Christian doing, saying things like these? Every single day I ask myself the same question, but I never do get an answer.
