Sometimes I do indeed wonder about that. But I never do get an answer.
Lately, I've started to dream of her again. It's the 6th time this time around. I wonder why I like her so much. It's not like I'm an L or anything... so why?
I ask myself this all the time.
And as usual, I am never given an answer.
Why is homosexuality bad?
I don't understand why it keeps getting despised. It is the act that is despised, of course. But why?
I understand that sodomy is a sin. But the reason? Because the Bible says so.
I'm not saying it's wrong or anything, but I could do with some explanation as to why it is wrong.
Although, that'd be almost the same as asking why murder is wrong.
Only that murder is wrong because you're taking away someone else's life, which, naturally, you are not supposed to do.
I've heard countless talks about why we should not encourage homosexuality, and due to that, my class is naturally divided into 2 parts - homosexuality supporters and the non-supporters.
"Homosexuality is not genetic - those who say they were born with it are lying."
Yes, I agree - it's got nothing to do with genes. It is but a mere mindset. However, why are we told that we mustn't be homosexuals? Granted, if the world were completely filled with these homosexuals, the human race would go extinct. And no, I don't see a problem with straights either. So why cant society stop discriminating against the lesbians and gays?
Definitely, this discrimination has mellowed down, but only by a fraction. It is still considered 'bad' in most places. Or rather, in most religions. Although, the Chinese are slightly more open to it compared to the rest of Asia. And no, I'm not trying to be racist.
For one, the Christians, or rather, most, if not all, Abrahamic religions are against homosexuality. And if you think I'm trying to criticize anything, let me tell you, I'm a Christian too.
But going back to my question earlier, why is homosexuality bad? What makes it bad enough to be hated by the rest of the world? Why are we prevented from loving those whom we want to love?
Will I ever get an answer?
Or will it just remain as it is, causing us to be constantly bound to the fact that we are sinning when we do things like this?
